Regional HHW Collection Program - Participating Communities

If you are a resident of a community that participates in the Regional HHW Collection Program (see list below), then you are able to take your HHW products to the program’s mobile collections or the permanent collection facilities in Kansas City, Mo., and Lee’s Summit at no charge (Proof of residency is required).

If your community IS listed below, here’s what you need to know:

  • Residents of participating communities may bring their HHW products to any of the mobile collection events held throughout the year. Residents of participating communities can attend ALL mobile events, regardless of location, at no cost.
  • Residents of participating communities may take HHW products to the permanent collection facilities in Kansas City, Mo., and Lee’s Summit at no charge. (Proof of residency is required.)

If your community is NOT listed below, here’s what you should know:

  • Residents of non-participating communities cannot access the Kansas City facility or the mobile events; however, you may visit the Lee’s Summit facility for a cost of $50 for up to 100 pounds of HHW per visit.
  • If you live within the MARC Solid Waste Management District and your city or county is not participating in the program, please contact your city council or county commission. The MARC Solid Waste Management District serves Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri.

Unincorporated county membership in the Regional HHW Collection Program allows residents of communities with populations less than 500 to access program services at no charge.

*In Clay County this includes residents of Mosby; Missouri City; Prathersville; Randolph; Birmingham; Holt; Oakview; Oakwood; Oakwood Park and Oaks.

*In Jackson County this includes residents of Levasy; Unity Village; Sibley and River Bend.

*In Platte County this includes residents of Tracy; Platte Woods; Farley; Northmoor; Houston Lake; Iatan; Ridgely; Camden Point; Dearborn and Ferrelview.
