HHW annually visits locations throughout the Kansas City area to reduce customer travel and make it convenient to dispose of hazardous waste properly. Proof of residency required (driver’s license, utility bill, etc.)

Municipal Services Service Center

Have sensitive documents laying around? Protect your identity by shredding your files.

The City is partnering with Midwest Shredding Service, LLC, to offer a morning of free document shredding. Residents can bring documents in bags or boxes to the Municipal Services Service Center. Documents can contain paper clips, staples and binder clips. But they must be free of plastic binders and metal hanging folders.

Midwest Shredding will provide Certificate of Destruction handouts and return any containers. Shredding is for paper only. Electronics, CDs and DVDs not accepted.
