Kansas City Habitat for Humanity ReStores include locations in the East Bottoms, Northland, Lenexa, Martin City and Overland Park.
The Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity ReStore locations include Blue springs, Independence and Lee's Summit.
Propane grill tanks
Empty barbeque propane tanks can be exchanged for full tanks at tank exchanges located at many retail locations.
To recycle an old tank without getting a refill, you can drop it off at a tank exchange location and write "recycle" on it with a permanent marker. Some scrap metal dealers will accept them for recycling but require special preparation to ensure they’re empty, always call first.
