- Accepts anything that plugs into a wall, or takes batteries.
- Fees may apply for some items, including televisions, CRT monitors, magnetic media, ink/toner cartridges and more. Please visit their website for fees and a complete list of items.
- Recycles alkaline batteries, magnetic media (VHS tapes, cassette tapes, floppy disks), and optical discs (CDs/DVDs) for $1.00 per pound.
- Offers certified refrigerant removal from large appliances (fees may apply).
- Holiday lights are accepted all year.
- Does not accept: thermostats, smoke detectors, lithium batteries, or fluorescent light bulbs.
- Does not accept Stryofoam that has had any contact with food or beverages including takeout boxes, cups, egg cartons and meat trays.

Does not pay for any items accepted.
Compressed gas cylinders (fire extinguishers, propane, oxygen, helium, etc.) - Accepts propane (BBQ, camp stove, etc.) cylinders only. DOES NOT ACCEPT any other types of compressed gas cylinders: fire extinguishers, oxygen, helium, etc.
Electronics - Only accepts cell phones, computers, computer monitors, printers, DVD players, TVs, VCRs, speakers and other small electronics.
Glass - No TVs, mirrors, light bulbs, windshields/safety glass, fiberglass, or these glass-like items: ceramic, china, porcelain, milk glass, Pyrex, Corningware, Corelle.
Hazardous Waste:
- Leavenworth, Kans. residents only.
- No appointment required if individual has less than 10 liquid gallons of HHW.
- Appointment required if an individual has greater than 10 liquid gallons of HHW.

Holiday lights - Does not accept lights embedded in yard decorations or artificial trees and greenery.
Holiday trees - Natural holiday trees and greenery. Must remove all plastic and metal components such as lights, decorations, plastic bags and stands. Accepted Dec. 1, 2024 – Jan. 31, 2025 only.
Large appliances - Provides refrigerant removal from dehumidifiers, air conditioners, freezers, refrigerators, etc.
Lawn mowers - All fluids must be completely drained.
Plastic Bags and Film:
The following types of bags and film are NOT recyclable:
